Southern Miss Athletics and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Have Partnered to Create a Collection of Co-Branded Merchandise

The University of Southern Mississippi's Athletic Department, in partnership with the Collegiate Licensing Company, their licensing agent, has collaborated with Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville to create a special merchandise line inspired by the musician's famous "Margaritaville" song. The merchandise, featuring apparel and non-apparel items, will debut on March 11th during the "Parrot Head" baseball game, which celebrates Jimmy Buffett's connection to the university. The game, starting at 2:00 pm central time against Valparaiso, will include special jerseys and live pre-game music at Pete Taylor Park.

Jimmy Buffett, who earned his degree from Southern Miss in 1969, is a strong supporter of the university. This partnership marks Margaritaville's first collaboration with a college institution. The product line incorporates Margaritaville and island lifestyle themes, including a jersey featuring the number 77 to commemorate the song's release year. The merchandise will be available at the baseball game, the Southern Miss Bookstore, and Campus Bookmart in Hattiesburg, MS.
